You were absolutely collosal out there. Th rain, mud, heat, and unbelievably surprising (to me)number of hills...you handled all of it well. I'm proud to know you!! Fall is coming pick another one and lets do a training run for it some time. Peace. --Mark

  2. Congrats for making it 80 miles, that's still one hell of a long way and definitely a huge accomplishment in and of itself.

  3. Kim,

I can imagine how tough that is to swallow, now that I've entered the DNF club as well. Know that 80 miles is effing amazing!! You won with fireworks in my book.

    Your slow friend,

  4. Well...sheesh...I think almost should count in ultras just as it does in horseshoes. It was great seeing you. You're amazing to me. So many people look up to you and are inspired by 80 miles just the same as 100. Keep at it. One of these days...I'll be out there with you...when I get up the nerve.

  5. I have NEVER seen anyone as fierce and determined as you were coming thru my aid station at 75 miles. Ever. You are an inspiration.

  6. Great job Kim . . . you looked strong and solid out there. I can't even comprehend 80 miles! Maybe some day . . . I'm planning to do the Mohican 50 miler in 2010, so look forward to joining you on some training runs down there (Loudonville is my old stomping ground)!

  7. Ok making it 80 out of 100 and having to stop sucks big time and I can see how you might be discouraged but as someone who hasn't done over a 50k I kind of think that 80 is a big deal. Just wanted you to know that you have inspired me for 3 years since I found trails and tribulations, and you continue to inspire me. I look forward to the reading the race report.
