Return from the Weekend

It must have been one of those successful weekends away, since it feels like I was away for more than 2 days. I did get in a pretty good treadmill workout on Saturday morning, despite the wine tasting Friday night. No workout on Sunday, with shopping and returning home.
What is good, even with my time off, is my mental attitude is refreshed. My body feels good. Nothing hurts, I'm not tired, and I'm ready to get some good training in. I work late shifts all this week, which actually is good for training, since I can get runs in before I work. I need to check the weather schedule to see what Tuesday looks like for a long run. It might be a Mohican (or Salt Fork, at the least!) kind of day.

  1. Rest days truly are rejuvenating for both the body and mind. Some of our ultrarunning friends don't seem to know when to say when.
So wise of you to know what makes you tick and honor that.
