Reverb Day Ten: Auto-Pilot

Living life on auto-pilot can feel disorienting and dull. How did you cultivate a life worth loving during 2013?

How can you turn off your auto-pilot button in 2014?

Being a trail runner means you don't really run on auto-pilot. Ever.  You are always in the moment, looking at your feet, looking several feet in front of you, sensing terrain, making split second decisions as the trail reveals itself.

Sometimes there is a surprise.  Where you promtply fall over and flat, never seeing that root or rock.

Running in the woods is a very zen experience.  You are always in the moment.  You cannot drift off in your thoughts.  Sometimes that is good.  Sometimes I don't think at all on my trail runs.  I am just focused in the moment.

We all settle into a routine, and I am part of that.  For 2014, I want to shake up my routine. I am going to travel out of town for some races.  I think I am going to attend Fitbloggin in Georgia.  I am going to travel a bit more, gain some different experiences.
